Two International Students Invited to Aza Oroku Community Association General Meeting
On April 21, 2024, the Aza Oroku Community Association held a general meeting and invited two individuals who have roots in Aza Oroku and came to Okinawa from Brazil to study abroad. - Teruya Miwa Luana (Teruya Marcos, Shinzen Noro Tennouchi), 18 years old (3rd generation) - Rafael Ryo Uehara (son of Tadashi Uehara, Hementaguwa), 28 years old The study abroad program is scheduled to last one year until next April. Celso Akihide Shiroma (Hamamiijiguwa) who is from Brazil, have roots in Aza Oroku and works at the Okinawa Prefectural Library, served as interpreter.
